Comparison to AMD FreeSync: G-Sync generally tighter control (less tearing artifacts), but FreeSync is open standard (cheaper). AMD VRR quality has closed gap in 2023+.

Alternative: FreeSync is cheaper and works with both AMD/NVIDIA cards (via FreeSync 2 HDR on select GPUs). Entry-level gamers: FreeSync offers better value.
